Bear in mind that quotas are something that
recruiting consultants want to discuss. A lot of the time,
consultants are unsure themselves so whatever any recruiting
consultants tell you, you should check to verify on the
company's website. For most companies, while you can always buy
any products at discount prices and sell at retail prices, you
have to meet certain minimum quotas to be paid by the company
(earn commission). Some companies require that you meet quotas
every other month, every quarter or every year or you cannot be
paid commission. If you have to keep buying products or making
sales periodically, it could get expensive for you so make sure
you verify what it takes to earn commission with whatever
business opportunity you are interested in.
Of course the recruiting consultants will
often say to you that it is doable or even easy to meet quotas
and earn commission. However, there are many reasons why a new
consultant may not meet the quota such as the market could be
saturated already.
